Squatting Supermarkets in La Stampa

Journalist Silvia Garbarino from La Stampa, a national Italian newspaper, effectively describes the presence of Squatting Supermarkets in the Scienctring of e Museum of Turin, summing up the string of performances outside the festival which have characterized it, from the trip in augmented reality taken by Eataly to the action of Shopdropping in main stores in Turin’s historic center:

“Between the shelves of a supermarket, rebuilt with cash registers and shopping carts, one can travel via iPhone, cameras and monitors discovering news about the economic and environmental impact of products as well as revealing the stories behind them like that of the farmer who decided to give her cows a better life, the Palestinian olive trees grown under bombs and gunfire. Everyday life becomes art. ”
